We are currently using it primarily to extend flash applications for the desktop (i.e. SWHX). I personally prefer this since it gives me quite a bit more power than the off the shelf applications and allows me to tie in other applications that we develop.
So far we have released approx. 30 to 40 applications using haxe/swhx that have been distributed via private networks to a sales team of probably in the 30,000 mark (though with our next release, I believe we will be targetting a few of the larger sales teams so this number should become significantly bigger) - whom each would run each of those applications, and definatly more than 100 times each (thanks to haxe we are able to track this). haxe/swhx rocks :)

Hey guys,
I like the haXe idea and language style a lot. The documentation is good, and for something that I can only imagine is very niche, the community seems extremely active and friendly. I'm not trying to ask you guys to justify its existence or anything (like some flamers enjoy on Flexcoders from time to time), I'm just interested in what you guys are using haXe to do, and what targets you're using.
As for me, I'm interested in languages in general, and also in leveraging the Flash target to help me with some Flex projects, and just to watch for anything that might make me a better coder :)
Like I said, just interested for interest's sake, not trying to justify haXe to my superiors (or to me, I already like it).
Cheers,
-Josh
