Well, it's already done and currently being tested on a few projects
internaly at Motion-Twin. It's only supported on MySQL so far.

It generates a complete web interface for editing and browsing the
database and you can synchronize the database with your code. All you
have to do is to use some specific types in your SPOD class fields.

We haven't talk yet about opensourcing it, but it guess there is no
problem with it so it should be available as part of the mtwin libraries
in the near future.
