Hi Dan,
Yes, I understand if you do not want to merge.  For instance,
audio libraries dependencies etc complicate things.
My theory was, that since you had to use the flash API for
at least flash, then you could use the blink api (which could
be renamed xinf if you wanted - although perhaps a tautology)
and get merging for "free". The hope would then be that you
can drop some of the stuff from the svg layer back into the
blink layer and get that layer developed faster too - and
perhaps it would be a superset, with everyone getting something.
Sound crazy? possibly.
