I could not possibly have included the list of things that you just
did in a sentence designed to convey a simple meaning.

As far as I am concerned, for a simple conversation, everything you
conveyed falls into the category of language syntax. Perhaps you would
have been happier if I said instead of "similar syntax" similar
"syntax and semantics".

I agree that haXe has valuable *features* (or whatever word you want
to use) that AS3 doesnt.  But for me, I cannot switch the bulk of my
work to haXe because the features are not strong enough to overcome
the IDE and debugging issue. I will only use haXe for things like
where I need to be cross platform. This includes things where I need
neko, where I need SWHX, or where I need JS. Because for flash
programming, the Flex2 IDE and debugger are just incredibly,
phenomenally, amazingly productive.
